A MUGA (Multi-Use Games Area). Cotswold Tennis Courts.

Multi-Use Games Areas from Cotswold Courts

Multi Use Games areas provide terrific playing surfaces for a variety of games and sports including football, tennis, basketball, hockey, netball and roller-skating. En Tout Cas have designed and built hundreds of Multi-Use Games Areas (or MUGAs for short).

We specialise in complete design and build projects, from excavating the site and landscaping to manufacturing a fence support that doubles as a basketball post. We have the skills and knowledge to act as main contractors, guiding clients through safety regulations and liaising with planning authorities. Our in-house lighting consultancy provides informed comment and advice on lighting systems, a thorny planning issue.

Many of our team members have been with us for more than 15 years and deliver the highest standards of workmanship, skills, supervision and finished construction project. A MUGA can be installed on just about any piece of unused ground that's large enough. Over the years we have installed multi use games areas in and around many places, including:

We are happy to explain the benefits and suitability of each surface, to give you the best possible sports surface for your needs. To find out about our surfaces, just click on the links below:

Choosing the right multi use games area surface

Your choice of sport will determine which surface is best for you.

Our recommendation would be to choose a surface laid with Savanna. Savanna has been developed by En Tout Cas and is the most advanced synthetic sports surface on the market. It is both soft and durable.  Its specialist fibre construction gives increased cushioning underfoot and consistent ball bounce.

Savanna is a polyethylene half-sand-filled carpet. It is ideal for tennis, soccer, netball hockey, or bowls. Savanna is not recommended for roller-skating.

We are always happy to discuss a project and give you the benefit of our advice. Apart from Savanna, we offer two other MUGA surfaces, Pladek and ETC 3G.

Pladek is an acrylic-coated porous macadam gives service for tennis, netball, soccer and basketball. It is not well suited to either hockey or roller-skating.

This is a long, texturised mono-filament polyethylene fibre that is partly filled with rubber and sand. ETC 3G is designed to meet the FIFA one-star rating for football and FIH for hockey.
